The 22nd edition of the IIFA Weekend and Awards, which had been postponed until July by the International Indian Film Academy, will now begin on June 2.

The annual event was originally scheduled for May on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi but was postponed to July after the UAE established a 40-day period of mourning following the death of the UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
IIFA Weekend and Awards pleased to confirm the final date
The International Indian Film Academy revealed the new date of the awards ceremony in a press release issued on 17th May night.
“Uniting the world to showcase cinematic excellence, IIFA is pleased to confirm the final new dates of IIFA Weekend and Awards on June 2 to 4, 2022 (and not in July as our previous communication mentioned),” the organizers said in a statement.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and actor Riteish Deshmukh will host the much-anticipated IIFA Weekend and Awards event.

And performances by cine personalities, including Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Nora Fatehi.
The event will be held in conjunction with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral at Etihad Arena, which is part of Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
