- 1 Russet Potato
- 1/2-1 cup Sunflower oil
- Salt, to taste
First, the potatoes must be scrubbed and cleaned properly. Then wash them and peel off the skin. You can also leave the skin behind if you want the crispy taste in your mouth.
The next step is to slice the potatoes into thin slices using a sharp knife or a mandolin. Mandoline is always the best option as you will be able to get the exact shape and size. Then you need to place the potatoes in a bowl of salted water and keep it for 30 minutes. The chips must be soaked in salted water it drains out the excess moisture, which allows the chips to be perfectly crisp.
Pat dry the potatoes after 30 minutes and then deep fry them in sunflower oil. You can fry them until it turns golden brown. Once done, you are good to enjoy.
