The High Court of Patna ordered the DGP of Bihar to produce Indian Businessman Sahara Chief Subrata Roy to court on 16th May 2022. The court on Friday also ordered the DGP and the Police officials to cooperate.

Subrata Roy fails to show up to court
As per reports from a leading news agency, the bench of Justice Sandeep Kumar issued an order to file against Subrata Roy as he did not physically show up to court despite missing deadlines on various anticipatory bail hearings. A case was filed against him for charges of cheating by non-banking finance companies.
As per reports, the court issued an order against him that stated, “It seems that Roy Sahara has no respect for the orders of this court and he thinks that he is above it. Despite various chances given to him, he has failed to appear. This court has no option, but to order the authorities to produce Roy Sahara physically in this court on May 16 at 10:30 am.”
The businessman was supposed to appear before the court on Thursday to explain how he plans to return crores of money that he took from the investors. He however failed to appear and instead his lawyer, submitted a medical certificate on his behalf.
