When sitting in a room watching a time travel show, we always think if we could do it. The possibility of doing something new makes us curious. This makes us dream about it. We live through those shows and movies. Let’s buckle up and sit tight as we are going time traveling through this list of all-time best time-travel shows.

Dark (2017-2020)
It is the first German fictional science thriller series that has three seasons with 26 episodes in total.
The story
It starts with the disappearance of children which is taking place from the fictional German town Winden. As they pursue to unravel the truth they find about the four estranged families which are connected with the conspiracy and to find the siner.
Why watch?
The series shows the existential implication of time travel in human and the effects which can lead. This is a series which will give you a good time while watching and will keep you thinking about it.
The Time Machine (1960)
This old classic is based on H.G. Well’s novel ‘The TimeMachine’ starring Rod Taylor, Yvette Mimieux, and Alan Young. This novel was so influential on the topic of science fiction, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, produced the film and was directed by George Pal.
The story
A Victoria England inventor who invents the time-traveling machine which could take you to distant times and while traveling, he discovered two types of species which are said to be our descendent. One is the Eloi which is described as passive childlike and the other is the Morlocks who feeds on Eloi.
Why watch?
This movie received Oscar and Academy Awards for Best Special Effects during that time as the time travel effects are so realistic and shows the changing world traveling in the future.
Primer (2004)
It is a movie that is very smart and thought-provoking to watch. You need to invest your time to understand the movie properly.
The story
This is a movie directed by Shane Carruth about two friends and engineers Aaron and Abe who accidentally invented the machine that could create a time loop. After using it multiple times, they realize that something is off and it creates problems for them.
Why watch?
This may be a small-budget movie but it is thought-provoking and it may take you multiple watches to understand it properly. If someone likes intricate and mind-blowing movies it’s a watch.
Donnie Darko(2001)
Do you love rabbits? Then I would suggest not to watch the movie as it could change your perception. A giant rabbit who claims to hail from the future meets our hero and reveals to him that the world is going to end.
The story
Darko (Gyllenhaal again) is a troubled teenager, sleepwalks and survives a jet engine crash that hits his house. After the incident, he has an illusionary vision of a giant rabbit. This rabbit claims to have come from the future and reveals to him that the world is going to end.
why watch?
This movie is a great combination of humor, mystery, imagination, and excitement for viewers. The reason behind Darko’s vision after the car crash is the mystery to know the reason to watch for.
Interstellar (2014)
This is a science fiction movie that shows a group of astronauts who travels through a wormhole in search of a new habitable planet.
The story
Set in the year 2067, it’s a story of a group of astronauts who volunteer to go in a search of a place habitual outer in the galaxy as it became hard to survive. They travel through a wormhole near Saturn in search of it. They encounter certain things being in space and tries to send the messages back.
Why watch?
Like any other movie by Christopher Nolan, he has always shown that he knows how to make a movie. This is a watch to see the beautifully portraying how these people try to save humanity and what the future would look like.
About Time (2013)
This is a romantic, emotional sci-fi movie that gives you a good time watching it. The father-son duo having the ability to time travel is something different and new.
The story
It is a story about a father and son duo who can travel back and forth to the future. When the son realizes his ability, he goes to the future for getting the girl of his dreams.
Why watch?
This movie is filled with emotion which is portrayed by the father and son relationship, the romance between Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams is a hook to watch and the overall comedy will make a crackling day.
These are some of the listed sci-fi, time travel shows which are never old and can be rewatched multiple times. Sci-fi movies show us the future which sometimes can be good and bad and it is an indicator for us to be more cautious about our surroundings.
