HBO has dropped the trailer for Harry Potter Return to Hogwarts. Fans are transported back to the wizarding world thanks to HBO Max and the rest of the cast. Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, can be seen going through Diagon Alley in a deserted setting. In Hogwarts, he meets up with Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). The teaser also includes a number of other cast members.

The next special, which will stream on January 1, will reunite the actors from the eight-movie Wizarding World franchise. The first film in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was released in November 2001, and the special will mark the franchise’s 20th anniversary.

The reunion of Harry Potter cast

The reunion of the actors takes place in the Great Hall of Hogwarts. In common spaces and classrooms, smaller interactions take occur. The teaser also shows a sight of Platform 9¾, where the Hogwarts Express is waiting.

The cast talks about the movies in the trailer, as well as the festivities in the Great Hall. Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the film, is seen hugging Emma.

“It feels like no time has passed and tonnes of time has passed,” Emma said. “The inference that the most meaningful event in our lives was done,” Daniel said, adding that seeing everyone is ‘joyous’ since he realises ‘it wasn’t though.’

In the Gryffindor common room, Emma, Rupert, and Daniel gathered. “When things become truly dark, and circumstances get extremely bad, there’s something about Harry Potter that makes life richer,” she is overheard saying. Rupert continued, “There will always be a strong tie between us. We’re a family. We’ll always be there for each other.” Hermione and Rupert exchanged an embrace while she wiped her tear.

Excited Fans

A fan reacted to the trailer by saying, “I’m hoping they pay honour to Alan Rickman. In every HP film, he was outstanding.” Someone else said, “Is it just me, or did this trailer make me feel like a little kid all over again? I can’t wait for this because they brought back so many memories for me!”
