About the accusation
According to reports gathered from She the People, Rehnuma Bhati claimed in her complaint, that her husband, Riyaz Bhati had coerced her into prostitution for over fifteen years. He allegedly has sensitive materials, including photos and videos to blackmail her with. He has also threatened to kill their two children if she doesn’t comply with his demands.
Reportedly, she did not divulge details, such as time and place, in her rape complaint.
As per The Print, her complaint alleges marital rape by her husband Riyaz. She mentions “unnatural sexual activities” committed against her by a cricketer and his friends under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Her complaint also states she was allegedly stripped naked, assaulted, and harassed before a former union minister who raped her.
About the complaint’s registration
Sources have informed that Rehnuma Bhati registered a complaint at Mumbai’s Santacruz Police Station alleging rape and molestation by her husband Riyaz Bhati, cricketers Munaf Patel, Hardik Pandya, Rajeev Shukla, and Prithviraj Kothari last month.
Reportedly, the Police are investigating and have not registered an FIR. Sources said, “The matter is under investigation ever since the complaint was registered by Rehnuma Bhati. But, so far no evidence has been found to the allegations”.
