Guwahati people are concerned over a rising issue of water ATM not working properly as 13 out of 20 ATM’s are out of service right ahead of the summer season.

The residents of the city are facing a new concern as many Water ATM are running out of order. The whole project of installing these water ATM was over Rs 2 crore and was made to ensure drinking water availability to all, especially during summer months.
But right before the summer months, the machines have gone out of order. Many of the residents are complaining and expressing their concerns over the issue. Some even added that this installation was just a waste of money. They suggested that instead, streetlights should have been installed as the number of crimes have gone up to a considerable amount in the last 1 to 2 years in the city.
As per the reports from the local people, the Water ATM has not been working in the areas of panbazar, MMCH hospital, near zoo and many as 13 out 20 of them were not functional.
