A chilling incident has rocked the peaceful village of Rangmahal in North Guwahati. A woman, identified as Sajeda Khatun, has been allegedly murdered by her lover and buried in a pit. The accused, Sahirul Islam, has been arrested by the police and will face trial for the gruesome crime.

According to sources, Sajeda Khatun, a resident of Phulbari in Dhubri district, was allegedly strangled to death by Sahirul Islam, who hails from Goalpara district. He then buried her body in a pit at Rangmahal village in North Guwahati. The police have not yet recovered her body, but it will be dug out in the presence of a Magistrate. Sahirul Islam was working as a contractual worker for the Public Works Department. He was residing at a rental place in North Guwahati. The police apprehended him from his rental place on Tuesday night, following a tip-off.

The incident has shocked the residents of Rangmahal and the neighboring areas. People are demanding strict action against the accused, and justice for the victim. The police have assured that they will do everything in their power to ensure that justice is served.

It is a tragic incident that highlights the dark side of human nature. Assam murders taking a jump and setting heights everyday

In a similar incident of murder, a 27-year-old woman killed her live-in partner and boyfriend with the help of her male friend. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon at Kolegaon village near Katai- Badlapur road, Dombivli. The two accused were arrested by the police on Sunday.

The two accused of murder identified as Sandhya Singh was a sex worker, and Guddu Shetty, an unemployed man. On Saturday, as per reports, Hande and the two accused were in the house when a heated argument started. They assaulted the victim with a bat leaving him in a pool of blood resulting in his death. The duo then fled the place.

The victim identified as Maruti Hande was a truck driver and was in a live-in relationship with Singh for the past three years. Hande was a married man and had two children who lives in Karjat. The reports stated that as she was getting in touch with Shetty, this leads to arguments between them.

The incident of murder was reported to the police by a neighbour as there was a commotion. Hande was severely injured and was rushed to Kalwa Hospital where the doctors referred him to JJ Hospital. He died during the treatment process. As per reports, the two accused were booked under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code and will be produced before the court on Monday. Further investigations are going on.

In another incident, a brutal incident unfolded in Chapar under Assam’s Dhubri district on Tuesday, where an elderly man was hacked to death by his own sons. The trio attacked their father, Sopiyal Ali, with a machete after chasing him in the area. The brutal attack left the helpless man lifeless in a pool of blood.

The shocking incident occurred in Saslapura village in the district. Sources suggest that the cause of the attack was due to a family dispute. The three sons fled the scene after committing the heinous murder, leaving the village in a state of shock and disbelief.

Local police arrived at the scene to assess the situation and launched a manhunt to locate the three accused. The search operation is still underway.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after an autopsy was conducted. The incident has sent shockwaves across the area, with residents condemning the brutal act of violence.
