Guwahati Girl brings Glory to the state; gets selected by Balliol College of Oxford University to study Sanskrit

A class 12 student from Guwahati‘s Holy Child School has brought glory for Assam as she secured a place to study an undergraduate course at the University of Oxford, England. Arani S Hazarika secured as well as showed outstanding merit during the online interviews.

Thus, she will be pursuing her course at the Balliol College of the University. The college has made an open conditional offer to Arani ensuring a seat in the college. She was selected by the Balliol College under Oxford University to study the classical language of South Asia, Sanskrit.

She is a resident of Ananda Nagar of Guwahati’s Noonmati area.
