In recent years, Gauhati University has been facing a lot of criticisms, be it conducting exams, declaring results and so on.
Another such case has surfaced where the University declared the results of the UG 3rd semester on January 14 and the marking system have shocked the entire students studying under its affiliated colleges

Speaking to ‘The North Eastern Chronicle’ one student stated, “We didn’t appear for the third-semester exam but instead assignments were taken by our respective departments. And GU collected the marks from the departments and they didn’t give any bad marks to anyone. Now, who was supposed to get 8 points got around 5 points.”

While many students acclaimed that they have been scammed by the authorities.
“Now we all waiting if the authorities make changes and rectify the mistake or we are to have a Twitter storm, said one of the students.”
