The APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) has been urged by the Gauhati High Court not to organise the Combined Competitive Examination (Main) without permission from the court.
After hearing Advocate Siddhartha Sarma’s PIL (83/2021) contesting the Cabinet’s decision to withdraw the qualifying language paper, the High Court gave this directive (Assamese, Bengali and Bodo).
The state administration recently decided to eliminate the mandatory language paper from the APSC exam.
