Parag Agarwal who is the Chief executive of Twitter confirmed that Elon Musk has bought it for $44 billion dollars. He further also stated the future will now become uncertain as it will come under control of Elon Musk. Agarwal said, “once the deal closes, we don’t know which direction the platform will go.” The new owner had stated his desire on the social media platform earlier this month.

The billionaire has now taken control of app that has share value of $54.20. He acquired the deal for $44 billion dollars and called it the best and final offer.
As per reports from Wall Street of Journal, “He privately met with many shareholders of the company to extol the virtues of his proposal.”
In a recent tweet, Musk wrote, “I hope even my worst critics remains on the platform, because that is what free speech means.” He has been a promoter of free speech and also stated that, “I invested on it as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy”.

International icon’s tweet asking people to take a poll on whether they believed twitter addresses the true meaning of freedom of speech was viral earlier this month.
His tweet made people especially the social media users to come to term with the idea of him buying twitter or at the least making an alternate platform.
Additionally, known for his innovation of Tesla, is now giving thoughts to if he should invest on a new social media platform or not.
His concern on this matter was raised when a user suggested him if he consider him to build a new platform for the social media users to express their thoughts and opinion freely, without the intervention of government.
