As part of his anti-spam crusade, Elon Musk sent Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal an abusive emoji.
Musk declared last week that his proposed purchase of Twitter was “on hold” while he investigated spam, bots, and fraudulent accounts on the platform.
Musk stated that he did not believe Twitter’s own assessment that less than 5% of active Twitter accounts were spam or automated.
Moreover, since then, neither party has said much about the matter, leading to speculation that Musk is looking for a way out of the contract.
Furthermore, now, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has posted a lengthy thread in which he states that he will address the matter “with the advantage of data, facts, and context.”
In the discussion, he claimed that Twitter had assessed the number of bogus accounts to be “far under” 5%.
However, he added that only Twitter could make that estimate because it was based on private information that Twitter could not release.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk responded by sending the fecal matter emoji, apparently in response to Agrawal’s comments.
Musk urged Agrawal for further information on how many real and active accounts were on the network in a follow-up article.
“So how do advertisers know what they’re getting for their money? This is fundamental to the financial health of Twitter,” he wrote.
