According to Forbes List, India’s national capital Delhi has ranked first with most CCTVs installed per square mile. The study was done among the 150 cities across the world. And as per the Forbes data Delhi is on the top in terms of CCTV cameras in public places, as it has 1,826.6 cameras per square mile.
Chennai and Mumbai is also in the list
According to Forbes India report New Delhi ranks first with 1,826.6 cameras per square mile, while Chennai bagged 3rd with 609.9 and Mumbai is in 18th spot with 157.4 cameras per square mile.
Delhi beats Chinese cities and others
Delhi has surpassed London (1,138.5), Singapore (387.6), New York (193.7), and Moscow (210) in the aforementioned category. The capital city of India also beats several Chinese cities like Wuxi ( 472.7), Qingdao (415.8), Changsa (353), Wuhan (339), Shenzhen (520.1), Shanghai (408.5) etc.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweets ‘feel proud’
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shared the news on Twitter saying “Feel proud to say that Delhi beats cities like Shanghai, New York, and London with most CCTV cameras per sq mile”.
CM Kejriwal further felicitated officers and engineers and wrote, “My compliments to our officers and engineers who worked in mission mode and achieved it in such a short time”.
