The Delhi government are in preparation to allow bars to serve alcohol till 3 AM. However, no official notice has been issued as of now.
As per reports from a leading news agency, the official notice will soon be issued by the Excise Policy in 2021 – 2022. It further mentioned that for the safe implementation of the act, Delhi Police has to be well coordinated.
Delhi bars and resturants
The Excise portfolio which is held by the Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, said “the closing time of restaurants and other establishments will be extended and it will be subjected to no harassment if it stays open till 3 AM.”
The note read, ” Government approved the New Excise Policy in November 2021 allowing the operational timings of restaurants up to 3 am in consonance with the operational timings of NCR cities including Gurugram and Noida. The final implementation is being coordinated with the other agencies including Police.”
