Good news for all employees in the central government as DA hiked to 3%

The Dearness Allowance or the DA will have an increase up to 3 % for all employees in the central government and pensioners.

DA hiked 3 percent

The cabinet under the central government has approved for a 3 per cent increase in the DA which will come into effect from 1st April 2022 onwards. As a result of this increase percentage, the allowance on the basic pay structure of these employees will also increase up to 34 percent.

This measure taken by the union cabinet will help the employees to be in par with rising price rate. The employees along with the pensioners will benefit from this in the long run due to the inflation.

As per the official government statement that has been released, “the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval to release an additional installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners with effect from 01.04.22 representing an increase of 3% over the existing rate of 31% of the basic pay/pension, to compensate for price rise.”

The above stated amount of increase has been in regard to the recommendations that had come from the 7th Central Pay Commission.

As a result of this increase, the chequered amount will come near to nine thousand crore.
