To enhance the scheme Gobar dhan was launched to ensure that framers get enough wealth to generate from the cow dung. This was more an extension to the cleaning campaign ‘swachh bharat’. The mission aims to clean the streams and keep the entire locality clean.

Now the Gobar dhan or the cow dung scheme main objective is to convert the cow dung which is a bio degradable waste into compressed bio gas by attracting young business entrepreneurs to establish clean energy resources.

The cows are considered holy in India for many reasons. They are even worshipped in many parts of the country. The use of the bio degrable waste to convert into an energy resource will not only help in saving the money but as well be favourable for the environment as well.

This can be quite an alternative solution for gas cylinders. Since the launch, the benefits of the farmers are now increasing.

As per reports, a village in Madhya Pradesh has been awarded for handing out cow dung to a project for the city’s power plant.  In the project, the cow dung is used along with other household waste to produce a methane gas and residue that is organic and can also be used as fertilisers.
