The Assam Government has served an order to cease the Siksha Valley School in Dibrugarh district for a tenure of 7 days, reportedly declaring it as a micro-containment zone in order to prevent the further spread of the COVID virus.
It is alleged that multiple cases have been detected on the school premises.
Resumption of the classes:
The classes are to be resumed after the 7-day tenure with respective permission from the Deputy Commissioner.
Steps by the authorities:
The Principal and the authorities of the institution will subsequently ensure that the school building including the entire premises desk and benches, toilet stations/drinking water station, etc are thoroughly sanitized.
