Adhir Ranjan who is a Congress Leader allegedly posted a tweet on his social media handle and later deleted after the post sparked controversy. The tweet was about Former Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi’s infamous quote which was linked to 1984 riots. A police case has been filed against the Congress leader.

The tweet that he shared on his social media handle has a picture of former PM Rajiv Gandhi with his infamous statement, “When a big tree falls, the ground shakes.” the posted was however deleted immediately.
The statement that the leader posted was one of the controversial statements made by PM Rajiv Gandhi that described the 1984 sikh riots as a justification to the assassination of Mrs Gandhi.
As per reports, the Tweet was deleted immediately by the Congress leader and the same was addressed in his Twitter handle, “The tweet against my name in the Twitter account has nothing to do with my own observation. A malicious campaign is propagated by those forces inimical to me.”
