CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the release of his book named ‘Chief Minister’s dairy’ to mark 1 year of his office as CM of Assam.

About CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s book 

“The book will have details of how I spent time in official work and how the office of chief minister and government functioned in the last one year. It’s an attempt to minimize the distance between the common people and the government. In the book, people can have a glimpse of how the government functions,” CM told the media. 

“Chief minister’s diary” is a record of his days in office and events of the government. 

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will complete 1 year in May 

In May CM Sarma will be completing 1 year of his office. On 10th May last year, Sarma was sworn in as the chief minister of Assam. 

The BJP led government came to power for the second consecutive term in assembly polls. BJP replaced Sarbananda Sonowal with Sarma as the chief minister. 

CM Sarma has already authored a couple of books. Reportedly, few of the events like the state government’s tirade against drugs besides waiving of micro finance loans are likely to be featured in the book. 

Further, the Assam government has announced that before March this year the government will provide one lakh government jobs. 

About CM Himanta Biswa Sarma 

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma is the 15th Chief Minister of Assam. He is a five time Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from Jalukbari. 

He was born on 1 February 1969 at Mission Hospital, Jorhat, Assam. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Political Science from Cotton College, Guwahati in 1990 and 1992 respectively. 

He then earned his L.L.B. degree from Government Law College, Guwahati. And had also obtained a Ph.D. degree from Gauhati University.
