Assam has witnessed a total of 643 road accidents across the state during this year’s Durga Puja. Meanwhile, three people have died in a road accident that took place in the Nazirakhat region near Sonapur on the National Highway 37.
It is being known that the three were driving in a private vehicle from Guwahati towards Nagaon. The vehicle was a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire numbered AS 01 BH 9714.

It is mentioned that the Maruti Suzuki hit a parked truck at high speeds leading to the death of the driver and two passengers in the vehicle on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Babon Haloi, Gautam Banik and Subul Das. Subon Das hailed from Nagaon, while Babon Haloi and Gautam Banik both hailed from Guwahati.
Meawhile, another accident was reported in Assam on October 5 when a drunk cab driver hit a parked sedan near the Zoo Road, Guwahati. It is being known that the passenger of the cab sustained minor injuries in this incident.
The sad part is the state has witnessed a total of 643 road accidents across the state during this year’s Durga Puja, as per the statistical data issued by Mrityunjoy 108 Emergency Ambulance service.
