Recently, the education department of Assam has come up with a new online portal named, “Teacher Transfer Management System (TTMS)”, to help teachers who are willing to be transferred.
As per information, the objective behind this initiative is to reduce corruption and speed up the process by digitizing the process and maintaining the Pupil Teacher Ratio in schools.

It has been made more convenient and easy for the teachers as they now no longer have to worry about visiting the office for the said purpose, also eliminating the chances of corruption.
The desired teachers will be able to submit their transfer request in the form of application on the official portal.
All the teachers have been advised to submit their service profile details within 10th December 2021. After submitting the profile details, the application process will be started.
Eligibility for using the platform
All the teachers of government or provincial schools from lower primary to senior secondary schools are eligible to participate in this teacher transfer management system of Assam.
In this regard, State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said, “As per the Assam Elementary and Secondary School Teachers’ (Regulation of Posting and Transfer) Act, 2020, we have started a portal from today onwards. In this portal, the teachers shall have to register and submit the service profile details by opening an account. The enrollment window will be open till December 10.”
He further added, “After December 10, the transfer module shall get activated; the teachers shall have to file an application for their transfer.”
