Inflation and rising commodity prices have become major social issues, but Assam Chief Minister’s Political Secretary, Jayanta Malla Baruah, has stated that people should not discuss price hikes or inflation.
Assam is suffering from the scenario of price hike
“We recognize that there has been a scenario of price hike and inflation due to which everyone in the state is suffering,” Jayanta Malla Baruah told the media.
In addition, he said, “However, this should not be considered since it further harms the people.”
He went on to say that questioning the ruling parties about inflation or rising commodity prices would be equivalent to giving the matter weight.
“Such a topic should not be given prominence, and no assumptions should be made about why price increases are occurring,” he stressed.
Amguri MLA Pradip Hazarika recently claimed that the price increases were caused by the monkey problem in his constituency.
Many other BJP politicians have made claims about price spikes that have been deemed unfounded by the people of the state and have become online jokes and memes.
