At today’s Assembly session, the Assam administration resolved to offer government positions to medalists from the Olympics, Asian, Commonwealth, and National Games. Medal winners in National Games would also receive government jobs, stated Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The CM also said that the state government would give Sports Pension to all those who won medals in National Games so far.
“I hope that this decision would help the sportspersons of the state” the CM said.
