Amit Shah presents President’s Colour Award to Assam Police

Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the prestigious President’s Colour Award to the Assam Police on Tuesday for their exemplary service in the last 25 years. The flag is engraved with the map of Assam and the 36 stars, representing the districts of the state, the insignia of the Assam Police Department and the pride of Assam a one-horned rhino.

With the prestigious Award, Assam becomes the 10th state in India to have received the award for the exemplary services of the Assam Police. 

The award was presented to the Police in presence of our Honourable Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and the DGP Bhasker Jyoti Mahanta, at the Alaknanda Parade Ceremony.

BJP Govt. in Assam completes one year

The BJP Government of Assam led by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma completes one year on 10th May 2022. 

To mark the event, the government has decided to organize a public rally which will be addressed by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah. The event will be at the Khanapara Field, Guwahati and several upcoming projects are set to be inaugurated by the Government. In addition, the Union Home Minister will also lay the foundation stone to several other projects including Public Auditorium, Integrated DC office, Police Commissionarate Building and Guwahati Police Reserve Bhawan. 

The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah arrived in the city on Sunday night for a three-day visit.
