Are aliens real? A recent discovery might lead one to ponder on the possibilities of their existence. The Dutch Low-Frequency Array (LOFAR), the world’s most powerful antenna by the latest has picked up radio signals from distant planets outside our solar system.
Scientists have recorded radio signals from distant stars indicating the existence of hidden planets around them.
Astronomers have long since been using LOFAR to detect life-forms outside our solar system and have recently developed a new technique that will double up the chance to discover new planets and life-forms throughout the galaxy.
Dr Joseph Callingham at Leiden University, ASTRON and lead author of the discovery said, “Our own Earth has auroras, commonly recognised here as the northern and southern lights, that also emit powerful radio waves this is from the interaction of the planet’s magnetic field with the solar wind.”
