What is the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)?
The National Scholarship Portal, introduced as the Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), emerges as one of the most famous scholarship portals, offering a variety of services spanning from student scholarship application through scholarship disbursement.
The site, which provides a SMART (Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent) approach for effective and speedier scholarship disposal, enables direct transfer of funds to the beneficiary’s account, preventing any possibility of leakage.
You can profit from the NSP in the following ways
On one platform, you can get information on all types of scholarships.
To apply for all scholarships, you must submit a single integrated application, which simplifies the application procedure.
All of the portal’s users benefit from increased transparency. On one single platform, you can obtain master data for all courses and institutions across India.
It is also an excellent tool for departments and ministries in the form of DSS (Decision Support System)
When is it possible for a student to apply for NSP scholarships?
The application period for each NSP scholarship may differ as well. Applications for centrally financed scholarships typically begin in August and continue until November.
State scholarships, on the other hand, do not have a set deadline. Please see the list of scholarships for further information on their application deadlines.
