In yet another dreadful incident, as many as five people have been arrested for reportedly throwing acid on a 19-year-old girl in Bihar’s Nalanda District as she refused to marry one of the culprit.
Statement by SP
According to the SP of Nalanda Hariprasath S, the attack was recorded in the CCTV camera which initially helped the police to trace the attackers.
Reason
He further stated that the girl’s family refused to to marry off their daughter to convict Sajan Kumar Rao and the rejection led to the girl be the subject of another acid attack.

At custody
At the time of questioning Sao confessed that he did it with the help of his relatives and friend. He threw the acid on the victim while she was out for shopping at the mall with her cousin.
