AAP Minister Alleges BJP’s Operation Lotus

AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) claimed on September 13 that having failed in Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Operation Lotus is at play in Punjab, however, the BJP denied the charge.

Punjab Minister alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Operation Lotus, ”MLAs offered Rs 25 crore each.”

It may be mentioned that the Bharatiya Janata Party has just two MLAs in the state. It is being known that a rift is growing within the Aam Aadmi Party leadership.

Operation Lotus is a code name used by Opposition parties. Notably, it’s used to refer to poaching of MLAs by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Moreover, Harpal Cheema, Finance Minister, Punjab claimed that  the Punjab MLAs had been asked to come to Delhi to meet big leaders, and offered crores to switch sides.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led party accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of misusing Central government’s agencies and offering Rs 20 crore each to some of its Delhi MLAs to cross over to the national party.
