On 27 November, a 9-year-old girl from Guwahati’s, Geetanagar area saved herself from a group of men who tried to kidnap her in the cities on Saturday.
How did the Incident happen?
As per a report by East Mojo, the girl told the media, a group of men came in a car attempted to kidnap her while she was on her way to school. The minor said that one of the men in the vehicle followed her and tried to lure her with chocolate to get her inside the vehicle.
The girl said, “He gave me a chocolate. But I did not take it and threw it. He then urged that he will drop me at school, but I told him that I was waiting for my mother who was on her way. He insisted once again to drop me off at school and said that my mother would be late as she was at work.”
When the girl resisted, the man keep on insisting, and held her by her arm, and tried to drag her into the vehicle. She saves herself by biting the hand of the alleged Kidnapper and throwing stones at him.
What did the CCTV footage show?
A CCTV camera in the neighborhood area has captured visuals of the white car. A few days back, a similar incident was reported from the same area where a man on a bike tried to kidnap a girl. The residents of Geetanagar have now raised questions regarding safety in the area.
