64 BN SSB ORGANISED MCA/VCA PROGRAMME UNDER “HAR GHAR TIRANGA” CAMPAIGN. A Medical Civic Action and Veterinary Civic Action Programme was organised at Mainao football club ground ,Patkijuli in Tamulpur District on 11/08/2022 by the 64th BN,SSB. The programme started with the welcome speech addressed by Sh. Nand Kishore Tamta, Commandant 64th BN SSB, to all participants and locals.

Commandant Sh. Nand Kishore Tamta mentioned that the Civic Action Programme is a routine event conducted by Sashastra Seema Bal, Ministry of Home Affairs in Border areas. The Force guards the 699 Kms boundary with Bhutan in addition to the Nepal Border. The unit is endeavoring continuously in augmenting the development prospect of village people through various programmes regarding ” Azadi Ka Amrit Utsav”. He mentioned about “Har Ghar Tiranga Programme” and requested all benefiaiaries and locals to hoist the National Flag at their home from 13-15 Aug to commemorate the 75th years of India’s Independence.

Refering to this initiative as a social responsibility and small effort towards the village peoples, Commandant emphasized that SSB’s mandate is to safeguard the assigned Border and create harmony & brotherhood among the people residing there and support the needy through extended medical help to them and their livestock. Civic Action Programme was started with Cultural programme performed by local School students’ and NGO team highlighting the various forms of diverse culture in the border areas. Viewers and passerby witnessed the volleyball match between SSB personnel and Mainao Club members, Patkijuli.

During this programme Commandant, 64th Bn, SSB distributed 600 ( six hundered) National Flags to school students and locals belonging from villages of Patkijuli , Sukhanjuli , Paharpur , Darranga, Sashipur, Hartola, Hathidoba etc.During the programme, Dr. Chandan Talukdar, (CVO), SHQ Rangia treated 103 livestock and distributed medicine . Dr. M. Ranjan Singh (AC, MO) also gave free health check -up to 230 border village people and Medicines distributed to them.


At last Sh. Abhishek Kumar, Deputy Commandant gave vote of thanks to all members participated, beneficiaries of MCA /VCA programme and school students and SSB jawans who were present in the programme.
