A bus carrying passengers turned over in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. A total of 26 bodies of the passengers were recovered from the accident scene.
Pilgrim Passengers bus accident
As per reports, the bus carrying pilgrims turned over and fell into a 250 meter deep gorge on Sunday evening. The pilgrims were from Madhya Pradesh’s Panna district.
Fortunately, out of 30 travellers, 4 of them were alive, including the bus driver.
As per reports from District Disaster Management Officer, “Twenty-five of the bodies are being sent to Dehradun from where they will be sent to Madhya Pradesh. The body of the bus helper, who was from Almora, has been kept at the local community health centre. His family is coming to take the body.”
According to the Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami, all pilgrims travellers will be given compensation of Rs 1 lakh to all those who died and Rs 50,000 for the injured.”
