At Nagaur in Rajasthan, where ethnic violence has been ongoing since Ram Navami last month, a fight broke out between two groups of Muslims to celebrate Eid.
The fight between Muslim groups escalated to stone-pelting
While celebrating Eid, the two groups got into a fight, which quickly escalated into stone-pelting.
With the support of locals, the police quickly arrived in the area and worked to restore normalcy and prevent further escalation.
The incident in Nagaur occurs just hours after skirmishes over loudspeakers at mosques were reported in Jodhpur, some 150 kilometers away.
Members of two religious communities flung stones at one other in Jodhpur, setting bikes on fire as the police tried to keep the situation under control.
Moreover, prohibitionary orders have been issued in the area.
