Chennai girl died by suicide after failing to clear NEET
Hours after the results were declared, the girl took the extreme step.
After finding out the incident, the girl’s father rushed her to the hospital in Chennai but was declared dead on arrival.
As many as 1,32,167 candidates appeared for the test and only 67,787 qualified. The NEET exams were compulsory for those who aspire to study medicine.
This is not the first time a NEET aspirant has committed suicide. In July, a girl died by suicide in Tamil Nadu’s Ariyalur, just a day before the exam.
An 18-year-old boy also allegedly died by suicide as he found the NEET exam too hard and was unable to score the desired marks.
