Girl’s Burnt Body Found in Coal Furnace; Allegations of Gangrape Emerge in Rajasthan

Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district was engulfed in grief and anger as the lifeless and burnt body of a 12-year-old girl was discovered in a coal furnace in Kotri town. The horrifying incident came to light when the minor, who had gone missing after venturing to graze goats in a nearby field, was found subjected to unspeakable brutality. Allegations of gangrape prior to her tragic fate have further intensified the outrage surrounding the case.

Prompted by the girl’s disappearance, her family and villagers initiated a frantic search operation that led them to a chilling discovery near one of the coal furnaces – a bangle that heightened suspicions about the girl’s harrowing ordeal. The gravity of the situation and the urgency for justice prompted the authorities to deploy a team from the forensic science laboratory, and a dog squad was summoned to assist in the search for any possible additional victims.

The heinous nature of the crime has sparked widespread condemnation, with villagers taking to the streets to demand justice for the young victim. Amid the outrage, BJP leader Vikram Goud expressed his discontent over the Congress-led government’s handling of women’s safety in the state, calling for accountability and stringent measures to address the alarming rise in such brutal incidents.

Regrettably, this tragic incident is not an isolated one in the region. Merely days before, the state witnessed another disturbing case in the Alwar district, where two teenage sisters were allegedly raped by co-workers of their father at a brick kiln. Adding to the tragedy, both girls are now pregnant, underscoring the immense physical and emotional toll of such heinous acts.

In another appalling instance in the Bansur area, a minor girl was subjected to kidnapping, rape, and videotaping by two men who threatened to circulate the footage on social media if she dared to speak up. These successive incidents underscore the urgent need for comprehensive action to address the prevailing menace of crimes against women in Rajasthan.

Expressing deep concern over the escalating crime rates, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Sekhawat revealed that the state has been witnessing a shocking average of 17 rape cases daily, further highlighting the pressing need for systemic change and stringent measures to protect women’s safety.

These disturbing incidents serve as a solemn wake-up call for both the authorities and society at large, urging them to prioritize the safety and security of women. It is imperative for the government and law enforcement agencies to collaborate and implement effective strategies to curb such heinous acts, ensuring a safer environment for women in the region. The collective outrage must translate into concrete actions that bring the perpetrators to justice and create a society where the dignity and well-being of every individual, especially the vulnerable, are unequivocally protected.

Bengaluru dance teacher rapes his ex-girlfriend

In a shocking incident that has left the city of Bengaluru reeling, a 28-year-old dance teacher, identified as Andy George, has been arrested for allegedly raping his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend multiple times over the course of a year. The distressing revelation comes to light after the victim bravely stepped forward to file a complaint with the Kodigehalli police.

As per reports in the Times of India, the accused first befriended the woman on social media two years ago, and their friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. During their time together, George recorded intimate moments with the victim using his mobile phone. However, their love took a dark turn when the woman learned about his hidden vices and decided to end the relationship in June 2021.

Fueled by anger and vengeance, George resorted to blackmailing the young woman by threatening to expose their private photos and videos on social media. Shockingly, he enlisted the help of two of his friends, Santosh and Shashi Kumar, to force the victim into sexual encounters with them, which he recorded as well. The ordeal went on for several months, leaving the woman traumatized and living in fear.

Unable to bear the relentless harassment, the victim finally mustered the courage to approach the authorities, leading to the swift arrest of George and his accomplices. The police seized incriminating evidence, including photos, videos, pen drives, laptops, and mobile phones from the accused, reinforcing the gravity of the allegations against them.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Laxmi Prasad, stated that in addition to the charges of gang-rape, the accused have also been charged under the Information Technology Act for their malicious use of technology to perpetrate the crimes. Authorities have confirmed that George had no history of abusing children at the school where he worked.
