Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh notified the nation through his Twitter handle that the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has selected 10 Manipuri players from the final list for the Senior Women’s National Coaching Camp, held in Jamshedpur from August 16 to September 6.
The preparation is for the forthcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022.

The chief minister tweeted that it is a proud moment for our girls as the All Indian Football Federation has included 10 Manipur girls in the final list for the Senior Women’s National Coaching Camp.
“My best wishes to all the participants,” he added.
Who is selected?
From a statement was released by the All Manipur Football Association where they mentioned the names of selected players-
Maibam Linthoingambi Devi, Sweety Deve, Ngangbam, Sorokhaibam Ranjana Debi, Kritina Devi Thounaojam,Wangkhem Lingthoingambi Devi, Dangmei Grace, Asem Roja Devi, Hemam Shilky Devi, Martina Thokchom, and Heigrujam Daya Devi.

Final team will be formed!
In spite of these ten girls, the final team will be formed from this camp, further representing India in the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022.
Thomas Dennerby, their head coach, listed the probable players camping in Jamshedpur, out of which 10 are from Manipur.
The camp will be in formation for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022, and the flagship continental championship is planned to be held in India from 20 January to 6 February next year.
