AdtU Marks Major Placement Milestone in Guwahati.

Assam down town University successfully organised “Success Meet 2026” in Guwahati on May 23, celebrating the placement achievements of its graduating batch with more than 900 placement offers secured during the 2025–26 academic session.

The event, organised by the Directorate of Career Advancement, brought together students, parents, faculty members, recruiters, and university leadership to commemorate what was described as a significant milestone in the institution’s career advancement and employability journey.

The programme highlighted the growing placement ecosystem at the university and reflected the increasing participation of leading companies in campus recruitment initiatives across Northeast India.

Over 121 Companies Participate in Campus Recruitment

According to the university, a total of 121 companies participated in campus recruitment drives conducted during the academic session. Students received opportunities across a wide range of industries including information technology, banking, consulting, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and financial services.

The highest salary package offered during the placement season reached ₹9 lakh per annum (LPA), while the average salary package stood at approximately ₹4.60 LPA. The university also recorded more than 250 placement offers above ₹5 LPA, highlighting the growing quality of recruitment opportunities available to students.

The placement figures demonstrated the institution’s expanding corporate engagement and its increasing recognition among recruiters seeking skilled graduates from the Northeast region.

Leading Companies Recruit Students from AdtU

Several reputed national and multinational organisations participated in the recruitment drives. Major recruiters included HCLTech, PwC, LTIMindtree, Asian Paints, Wipro, and HDFC Bank, among others.

The participation of companies from diverse sectors reflected the multidisciplinary talent pool available at the university and showcased the institution’s efforts in aligning academic programmes with industry requirements.

Students from engineering, management, healthcare, allied sciences, commerce, and other academic disciplines reportedly secured placements through the campus recruitment process.

Addressing the gathering, Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Director (i/c) of the Directorate of Career Advancement, highlighted the university’s sustained focus on employability enhancement and industry readiness.

She stated that the institution has been actively working to strengthen student capabilities through skill development programmes, industry exposure initiatives, internship opportunities, soft skills training, and professional mentorship.

According to her, the placement achievements were the result of consistent collaboration between faculty members, recruiters, career mentors, and students.
