A beautiful painting of 20 women freedom fighters was made on a quill in the shortest amount of time by Hima Deka, the daughter of Lt. Anupama Das and Mr. Chandradhar Deka of Maligaon, Guwahati.
The length of the feather used was 12cm(14.5 cm with the quill). Each portrait is 0.6cm X 1.2cm in size and took about 45 – 60 mins to complete with the help of poster and acrylic black and white colors. The total time to make the whole painting was 14 hours, making it a record-breaking portrait to hold a place in three books of records – Assam Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, and India book of records.
The painting includes 20 portraits. Hima said, “I am also selected for the Honorary Doctorate Award by the World Record University. Initially I targeted 17, luckily I can execute 20 of Freedom Fighters of India”.
