In Maharashtra, a woman claims her father-in-law sexually abused her and made her drink chicken blood. Two people have been taken into custody as a result of the investigation.

Father-in-law makes her drink chicken blood

A woman in Maharashtra who was sexually assaulted by her father-in-law and forced to drink chicken blood on the orders of a self-proclaimed godman filed a case against her in-laws and husband for mental and physical abuse.

Hindustan Times stated that the woman’s husband and father-in-law were detained, and a charge had been filed against her mother-in-law.

‘My spouse was impotent and my in-laws didn’t tell me about it,’ the 33-year-old woman alleged. Her father-in-law allegedly tried to force himself on her to get her pregnant.

Spouse found impotent; in-laws started physically abusing woman

As soon as she discovered her husband’s infertility, she added, she informed her family. Her in-laws then started physically abusing her.

“He is a diploma engineer and she has a bachelor’s degree. They have been living separately for the past four months after being married since December 30, 2018. We will investigate all claims made in the complaint. We have arrested the two,” according to Bhosari police station inspector Jitendra Kadam’s information to the Hindustan Times. 

Case filed under Indian Penal Code and several other categories

According to the woman’s complaint, she has been subjected to mental and physical abuse by her in-laws since 2018.

At the Bhosari police station, a case has been filed under relevant parts of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Section 3 of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil, and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013.
