In a video that has been making rounds on the social media network, people are seen to be relishing the wedding meal, while the background scene shows a massive fire occurring just a few meters away.
People are just casually having their dinner while being entirely unfazed by the great blaze. They provide an epitome of what the gen-z would call “chill”.
About the happening
The incident occurred at a marriage reception, held at Bhiwandi in Thane, Mumbai.
Reportedly, the fire broke out at a storeroom of one ‘Ansari marriage hall’ on the evening of November 28. No injuries have been reported.
It was around 10 pm that fire engines rushed to the spot after receiving the information. A Bhiwandi municipal corporation official said that the fire was put out at 11 pm.
Destruction was caused to the storage room, which contained the decorating material and chairs.
At least six two-wheeler vehicles were parked near the marriage hall. They were also victims of destruction by the fire.
While the exact cause of the fire is unknown, an official has said that fireworks used at the wedding could be the cause.
