As many as 1,000 kg of Cannabis were seized and destroyed by the Sonitpur Police on November 22, inside the campus of Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH).
Seizure of the Cannabis
As per the reports, Cannabis was seized during the last few days. The Sonitpur police made several busts to seize Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) earlier.
About the operation
The police had also conducted a search operation at the residence of a person named Mozibur Rahman and recovered 125 suspected sachets of cannabis during the month of November.
The Cannabis was destroyed by using the TMCH facility for which the police were thankful to the campus faculty.
