A high profile meeting was held on Tuesday, June 8 at Janata Bhawan, between the Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, senior members of the Education Department, and senior members of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU).
In the meeting, AASU had proposed to conduct exams based on three subjects and the subject where the student secures the highest mark, only that subject should be considered as the marks for the other three subjects that they will appear for. Further, AASU says that without conducting examinations no marks for the students of SEBA-AHSEC can be calculated. They have suggested to conduct the exams in the month of August and declare the results in the first week of September.
Meanwhile, speculations are on high regarding the examinations and the students are highly affected by this confusion. With CBSE cancelling the final board examinations, it will be important to find out State Government’s decision.
