Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi attended a Rongali Bihu function held at the Union Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal’s residence today.
The function lasted for about an hour. Many dance performances of both folk and fusion were performed by artists from Assam. There were also guest too, with whom the Prime Minister interacted.

As per reports, the former chief minister of Assam appreciated the gesture of PM Modi and thanked him for attending the function and showcasing his love towards the state and its culture.
According to the reports of a leading source, Sarbananda Sonowal said, ” I am grateful to the Prime Minister for his kind presence at the Bihu Function and his blessings. In the last eight years, his interests and initiatives for the overall development of Assam and the Northeast is unprecedented”.
Apart from the Prime Minister, Union Minister, nagendra singh tomar and Chairman Harivansh were also present at the event.
