Assam Cabinet approves Rs. 190 Crore subsidy to APDCL after a sudden increase in price in the year 2022-23. The decision was taken on Friday.

The meeting was chaired by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The meeting also decided to approve Rs. 300 crore in 24-MW Karbi Langpi Middle II Hydro Project. The decision was taken in an effort to increase the production of electricity.
The Minister said. the project will assist APDCL in meeting the state’s rising demand and aims to finish the project in 36 months.

Additionally, the government also decides to contribute Rs. 285 crore to the ASEB Pension Fund thus helping 20,000 retirees.
A museum worth Rs. 15 crore will also be put in place.
