Since the demolition of the 300 year old temple in Alwar, AAP or the Aam Adami Party leader of Rajasthan has recently shared a letter that was sent by the centre to demolish a temple in Sriniwaspuri area of New Delhi.

As per the reports, the letter read that the temple was built on a piece of land that was unauthorised by the government. In addition, it was also stated that the land had to be vacated in a time frame of seven days, or else the temple will have to be demolished.
The District Magistrate of Alwar said that the order was put in place in the initial week of this month and all the trespassers were talked to on a personal level. In addition, the DM also mentioned about informing the trespassers two days prior to the eviction drive.

The drive was in place on the 17th and 18th of April 2022 and further no legal structures were torn down. As far the protest goes, there has been none reported.
According to reports from the District Magistrate, “during the removal of encroachments, the action was taken on three pre constructed temples. One of which was the temple, which was built recently. The idols were installed in the private temple built on the drains were removed by the builders themselves before the encroachment was removed. ” The official also added that the demolition of the encroached parts including the temple took place on the 17th and 18th of April 2022. However, widespread shock and commotion were expressed five days later.
