The Chief Minister praised the Punjab National Bank for its approach in offering loans to farmers to boost bio-ethanol production. According to reports, Punjab National Bank has partnered with Assam Bio-Refinery to produce bio-ethanol, which is a big milestone.
Himanta Biswa attended the MoU signing event on Saturday
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Saturday at the Srimanta Sankardev International Convention Centre.
Farmers will be able to get loans through Punjab National Bank to allow them to grow bamboo, which will be utilised in the Assam Bio-Refinery to produce bioethanol.
According to the official, Punjab National Bank would provide loans to agriculture producers to help them cultivate bamboo, which will be used to manufacture bio-ethanol at the Assam Bio-Refinery.
The MoU to encourage and empower farmers to plant bamboos
Farmers would be encouraged and empowered to cultivate bamboo, which would aid in the creation of green energy, according to Chief Minister Dr. Sarma, through the MoU.
As per the chief minister, the Assam government has been working relentlessly to increase the use of green fuel, thereby diminishing factors that contribute to environmental pollution.
Punjab National Bank congratulated by Chief Minister for providing loans to farmers
Sarma went on to say that the state’s Ethanol Output Promotion Policy is always seeking new ways to boost bioethanol production.
The Chief Minister praised the Punjab National Bank for its endeavor in offering loans to farmers to boost bio-ethanol production.
He also requested that the Punjab National Bank work with the government to boost productivity of development in the state, emphasising that the govt is always eager to assist the bank’s programs and initiatives.
Dr. Sarma delivered loan sanction letters to garners at Bank’s mega credit camp
As part of the bank’s massive credit camp, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma handed out loan sanction letters to a few farmers.
