East Guwahati Police District conducts an operation along with Meghalaya Police in Shillong leading to the arrest of a female drug trafficker on Wednesday according to information from official sources.

The female drug trafficker has been identified as Dimsiannem (33) who is a resident of Madanrting Block F near Baptist Church. Dimsiannem was arrested based on information which has been provided by the lady drug trafficker from Mizoram who was arrested with 8500 yaba tablets from a lodge located in Bhangagarh area on August 26.
According to a statement from the Assam police, on Thursday, “She (Dimsiannem) has been brought to Bhangagarh Police Station. Three mobile phones and cash worth Rs 35,600 were seized from her. Evidence collected is being examined to unearth linkages.”
Relations to the other female drug trafficker from Shillong
According to reports, the mentioned drug trafficker from Mizoram, identified as Khumi Khawung (45) came from Shillong before camping at Kunjalata Lodge in Bhangagargh. When police searched her hotel room about 8500 yaba tablets were caught in her possession in the presence of many witnesses.
Following the legal process and formalities, after initiations of further questioning of the accused led to the arrest of the drug trafficker from Shillong.
