Parul University, one of the leading educational institutions in Gujarat, recently hosted its annual tech fest, Projections 2023, which turned out to be a massive success with over 10,000 young individuals participating from across 15+ states. The event was a perfect blend of technical and non-technical events, offering workshops on emerging technologies such as AR/VR, Blockchain, and IoT, alongside robotic competitions like Roborace. The event took inspiration from the ultra-futuristic Marvel Cinematic Universe and offered prize money of 7 lakhs.

Workshops on emerging technologies

The two-day extravaganza saw the participation of students from various backgrounds, including engineering, computer science, and management, who came together to showcase their technical skills and creative prowess. The tech fest at Parul University was designed to provide a platform for students to develop their skills, learn new technologies, and connect with industry experts.

The first day of Projections began with an inauguration ceremony attended by the Parul University’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Devanshu Patel, and other dignitaries. The ceremony was followed by a series of technical workshops and seminars on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing. The workshops were conducted by industry experts, and students got an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and advancements in these fields.

Apart from technical workshops, the event also featured several non-technical events, including quiz competitions, treasure hunts, and LAN gaming. These events provided a much-needed break for the participants and gave them a chance to unwind and have some fun.

The highlight of the event was the robotic competition, Roborace, where participants showcased their programming and design skills. The competition was fierce, and the robots displayed exceptional speed, accuracy, and agility, leaving the audience in awe. The winners of the competition were awarded prize money of Rs. 50,000.

Internet-sensation King performing live at Parul University

The second day of Projections was even more exciting, with the internet sensation, King, performing live in a three-hour-long concert that was attended by 20,000 students of the university. The concert was a musical treat for all, and King’s electrifying performance left the audience asking for more.

In addition to the live concert, the second day also featured a Hackathon, where students had to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. The Hackathon provided a platform for students to apply their technical skills and creativity to solve some of the most pressing issues faced by society today.

Speaking about the event, the Vice-Chancellor of Parul University, Dr. Devanshu Patel, said, “Projections 2023 was a grand success, and we are thrilled to have provided a platform for young individuals to showcase their skills and learn about the latest technologies. The event was designed to encourage students to think out of the box and come up with innovative solutions to real-world problems.
