About Wahab Riaz:
Born on June 28, 1985 Wahab Riyaz is a left-arm fast bowler and a right-handed batsman. His all round performance in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 earned him worldwide recognition. In August 2018, he was one of 33 players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
However, the Pakistani pacer has not played international cricket for the last two years. He last featured in a One-day International (ODI) and T20 International match back in November-December 2020 and has not played any Test match for the national team since 2018. In September 2019, Riaz announced that he would be taking a break from red-ball cricket to focus on the shorter formats of the game.
Wahab has 27 Test caps, 91 ODI caps, and 36 T20 International caps under his belt. He has 83 test wickets, 120 ODI wickets, and 34 T2O International wickets registered under his name.
However the player was forced to be considered during his prime days and his impeccable spell against Australia in the quarter-finals of the ICC World Cup 2015 is still remembered by cricket fans to this day.
Riaz is married to Zainab Chaudhary and has a daughter named Eshal.
