Ola Electric sells S1 scooters worth over ₹1,100 crore in 2 days; Read to know next sale date

The much talked about Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters, during the two day sale purchase window, sold their scooters worth more than Rs 1,100 crore, which opened on September 15 and shut down on September 16.

The immense popularity of these electric scooters among the population is evident through its sale.

Opening of next purchase window

However, The second purchase window for the Ola electric scooters will be opening on November 1, 2021.

It has finished two days of sales of the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro scooters. The company has disclosed that it has earned a sale over ₹1100 crores within a duration of just two days. The company announced that, on day 1 it earned sales worth over ₹600 crore, asserting that it is what more than the entire 2-wheeler sector makes in a single day in India.

However, the reservation window for the electric scooter will remain open for new buyers on the next date. The booking amount and booking procedure will remain the same.

Bhavish Aggarwal’s view

Ola CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal stated, “While day 1 of purchase was quite unprecedented for us and the auto industry, day 2 simply continued from where day 1 left off! The excitement and enthusiasm customers showed for our products remained high throughout.”

He further added, “In total over 2 days, we have done over INR 1100 crores in sales! This is unprecedented not just in the automotive industry but it is one of the highest sales in a day (by value) for a single product in Indian e-commerce history! We truly are living in a digital India.”

Aggarwal took to twitter, “Day 2 of EV era was even better than Day 1! Crossed ₹1100Cr in sales in 2 days! Purchase window will reopen on Nov 1 so reserve now if you haven’t already. Thank you India for the love & trust. You are the revolution!”

Agarwal asserted that reservations for the electric scooters will remain open on olaelectric.com.

The company will be reopening the purchase window just in time of Diwali. He also clarifies that those who have already reserved but did not made the purchase in the window that ended will also be able to purchase on November 1.
